Instead of the possibility of facing the Tigers’ Justin Verlander twice in a short series, you get to feast on the Twins – who have all the momentum in the world, but lack the depth of Yankee talent. Not to mention they haven’t won a game in New York since July 2007. Enjoy your breeze through Minesota.

Meanwhile, I expect we’ll make quick work of the Angels. They scare me a little bit, just because they seem “due.” But we have much more talent and depth, and should sweep them (if not take it in 4).

Then it’s Red Sox vs Yankees, Good vs. Evil. LB Sabathia has been a let-down in the playoffs before. And the rest of the Yankee pitching staff is far from intimidating. The Sox have better starting pitching and a better bullpen — and our batting line-up isn’t that far off.
